The local beach Montmartin-sur-Mer is incredibly picturesque and usually quiet, with a large expanse of sand backed by dunes. It also has ample free parking available.

Cultural Sites

The house is incredibly close to a variety of historic sites such as Château de Gratot, Abbaye de Hambye, Château de Pirou, Bayeux Tapestry, the Normandy DD landing beaches and Mont Saint Michel  all highly recommended.

Many of the local villages hold weekly authentic French markets selling everything from fresh fruits and veg to clothes and jewellery.

Ile de Chausey

An hours boat ride from Granville, a nearby town will transport you to an idyllic island that has been likened to the Seychelles.

You are located between three towns all with something to offer, Granville a sea port, Villedieu-les-Poêles with direct trains to Paris and Countances containing a beautiful cathedral and gardens.

There are local stables offering horse ridding for all abilities, allowing you to take a trek across the countryside.
